Christina Zurowski

Christina oversees the activities of both the Client and Consulting Service departments from a quality and technical perspective with the goal of ensuring continued high quality service. During the course of her 15 plus year career in commodity tax, Christina has focused on providing clients with quality practical advice to assist them in meeting their commodity tax objectives, from audit assistance to advanced advisory services. She brings exceptional expertise and strategic insight into the commodity tax industry to her role at Definitive. Christina is a former senior tax manager with Ernst and Young in Toronto, Canada and has been and continues to be a frequent speaker at the CICA’s commodity tax symposium and is a tutorial leader at the CICA GST in depth courses.

Lynne A. (Tim) Hutchins
CA, Director of Client Services
Tim is one of the foremost authorities in commodity taxation in Canada. With over twenty-five years experience, Tim has focused on the practical administration and application of virtually every tax encountered by Canadian companies and public service organizations. Tim has provided advice and counsel to hundreds of companies across North America that have been faced with complex issues surrounding commodity taxes. He has also successfully completed the CICA In-Depth Income Tax, Commodity Tax and Advanced Commodity Tax Courses and is a recognized contributor to commodity tax-related periodicals published by CCH Canadian and Carswell.
Bev Lucas-King
CGA, Manager, Client Services
Bev has over twenty years of experience gained in various industries, including pharmaceuticals, food products, chemicals, and agriculture. During this time, she has been exposed to all aspects of Canadian income and commodity taxes. This exposure enables her to deal with a wide range of client issues in a knowledgeable and thorough manner. Prior to joining Definitive, Bev was Manager of Taxation for a large multinational corporation, where she worked with both federal and provincial income and sales tax legislation on a daily basis. She has also successfully completed both the CICA In-Depth Income Tax and In-Depth Commodity Tax Courses and has presented at various tax seminars and conferences.
Diane Gaudon
CGA, Senior Manager, Client Services
Diane has over fifteen years of experience as a professional accountant. During this time, she has gained extensive accounting and taxation expertise in many industries, including food products, plastics and steel fabrication. During the past five years, Diane has been advising both Canadian and foreign companies on federal and provincial sales tax matters. She has also successfully completed both the CICA In-Depth Commodity Tax and Advanced Commodity Tax Courses and is a recognized contributor to both CCH Canadian and Carswell commodity tax related publications. She is also a frequent presenter of commodity tax related material to numerous professional organizations, including CGA Ontario’s professional development program.
Susan Glofcheskie
CA, Senior Manager, Client Services
Susan has over fifteen years of experience as a professional accountant. During this time, she has gained accounting, income and commodity tax expertise in many industries, including food services and consumer and commercial goods manufacturing. For the past ten years, Susan has been advising both Canadian and foreign companies on federal and provincial sales tax matters, including addressing complex issues affecting taxpayers in all sectors of commercial and non-commercial activities, such as public sector bodies and financial institutions. Susan articled with Wilkinson and Co. in Belleville, Canada. She has also successfully completed both the CICA In-Depth Commodity Tax and Advanced Commodity Tax Courses and is a recognized contributor to both CCH Canadian and Carswell commodity tax-related publications.
Sandra Smith Rose-Mighty
CA, Senior Manager, Client Services
Sandra has over twenty years of professional experience, providing assurance, accounting, taxation and treasury services to large corporations in a variety of industries including retailing, food services, publishing and pharmaceutical. With this extensive business and professional experience, along with strong computer, organizational and interpersonal skills, she has developed an ability to identify and deal with a variety of client issues on a timely, effective and efficient manner. After working a short while as a Sales Tax Associate, Sandra decided to apply the knowledge she gained while conducting sales tax reviews for our clients to further enhance our Client Services group. Sandra articled with Ernst & Young in Mississauga, Canada and has successfully completed the CICA In-Depth Commodity Tax and Advanced Commodity Tax courses.
Marie Power
Senior Manager, Client Services
Marie has over twenty-five years of industry, public practice and government experience focusing on Canadian commodity taxes. Prior to joining Definitive, she was Director, Commodity Tax for Sears Canada Inc. and for seven years served in public practice at Deloitte & Touche LLP, where she provided commodity tax advice to a wide range of international and domestic clients. For a period of eight years, Marie was formerly with the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA), where she was a GST/HST Rulings Manager, auditor, and trainer helping develop GST and HST interpretive materials. Marie has extensive provincial Retail Sales Tax experience, gained from her nine-year career with the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador, Department of Finance. She has successfully completed many tax courses including both the CICA In-Depth Commodity Tax and Advanced Commodity Tax Courses.
Wendy Costello
Administrative Assistant, Consulting Services
Wendy brings seven years of experience from the real estate construction industry to Definitive. While in industry, she exercised her talents for spreadsheet analysis and report generation for senior management. Acting as an in-house resource for consultants in the field, these skills make her uniquely suited to producing client reports, ensuring that Definitive deliverables live up to the professional standards our clients require.
Michelle Meandro
CA, Senior Manager, Consulting Services
Michelle has over fifteen years of professional experience as a chartered accountant. During that time, she has worked in the entertainment, food distribution and oil and gas industries. She has held senior roles in financial management, taxation and treasury departments in large multinational corporations based in both Canada and the US. This integration of functional areas and industries, combined with knowledge gained from her participation in several IT system implementations, qualify her to bring a focused perspective to her role with the consulting services group. Michelle articled with PricewaterhouseCoopers in Calgary, Canada and has also successfully completed both the CICA In-Depth Income Tax and In-Depth Commodity Tax Courses.
Teresa Tugman

Teresa has over twenty-five years of experience as a professional accountant. During this time, she has been exposed to all aspects of Canadian income and commodity taxes. Prior to joining Definitive, Teresa was Manager, Taxation for a large multinational health care organization, where she worked extensively with both federal and provincial income and sales tax legislation on a daily basis. Over her career, Teresa has had senior tax and finance roles in various industries, including health care, financial services, real estate, technology and oil and gas. She has also successfully completed the CICA In-Depth Income Tax, Commodity Tax, and Advanced Commodity Tax Courses and has taught tax and accounting courses at the community college level. Teresa articled with KPMG in Toronto, Canada.
